Changes in the following information must be updated in Bizfile within 14 days from the date of change:
- Name (note: deed poll must be attached)*
- Identification type*
- Identification number*
- Residential address*
- Nationality*
- Land/fixed line number
- Mobile number
- Email address
There is no fee to file the above changes. However, a penalty may be imposed for late filing.
*Note: Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents are not required to update ACRA on changes to their personal information. This includes changes to their residential address, personal name, nationality, identification type, and identification number. Bizfile will automatically obtain this information directly from the relevant agency. For such changes, individuals should instead notify the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA). This can be done through the ICA website.
For personal data protection purposes, business owners have the option of registering a contact address. Once you have registered a contact address, it will be displayed in ACRA's public records instead of your residential address. However, all official correspondence from ACRA will continue to be sent to your residential address. You are therefore still required to submit your residential address for record-keeping purposes.
The contact address must be an address where you can be contacted (e.g., your office or your corporate service provider's office) and must be within the same jurisdiction as your residential address. It cannot be a P.O. Box address.
There are no fees for the filing of contact address. Filing of contact addresses are mandatory.
