Learn how to update any changes to your company information, officers, shares, and shareholders within 14 days to avoid penalties.

Note: Directors and secretaries must report changes to their company information, officers, and shareholders. They must report these changes via Bizfile within 14 days to avoid penalties.

When your company's name, key details, constitution, or financial year end (FYE) change, you need to update ACRA.

If you change your company's name, you need to:

Update your entity information within 14 days if any of these changes:

  • Business activity (what your company does)

  • Registered office address or office hours

  • Company officers or directors who join or leave

Company constitution

First, pass a special resolution in a general meeting to approve any changes.

Then, file a Notice of Resolution via Bizfile within 14 days.

Submit a copy of the special resolution and latest constitution with your filing.

Updating officer and position holder details

Position holders are the key persons who run your company, such as directors, company secretaries, and auditors. Report company officer and position holder changes via Bizfile.

Update position holder details within 14 days if any of these changes:

  • Name (you must attach a deed poll)

  • Identification (ID) number

  • Nationality

  • Residential address: ACRA will send all official letters to this address.

  • Contact address: ACRA will display this in its public records instead of the residential address. It must be in the same country as your residential address and cannot be a P.O. Box address.

  • Contact number and e-mail address
