Data Sharing

Supporting Singapore's Smart Nation vision

ACRA maintains the public register of business entities in Singapore. There is great potential for the information ACRA collects when business entities register and/or make statutory filings with ACRA, to be tapped on by the public and private sector to develop impactful business solutions and conduct useful business related research.

ACRA's Open Data initiative

As part of our Open Data initiative, ACRA is making available useful business datasets at Data.gov.sg - a free and open data portal for public access.

A total of 7 datasets of all business entities registered with ACRA will be available and updated on a monthly basis. The public will have access to over 1.5 million records* of both live and non-live entities for research or application development purposes. The datasets are provided in standardised machine-readable formats which allow data users to easily analyse, mash-up and visualise datasets without having to spend unnecessary time on data scrubbing.

Dataset Data Elements
1 Basic Entity Information (Business name, UEN, Date of incorporation/registration, Status, Entity type, etc.)
2 Registered office address
3 Accounts (Accounts due date, Annual Returns due date)
4 Singapore Standard Industrial Classification (SSIC) (Primary, Secondary, User Prescribed Activity)
5 Position Holders (No. of officers)
6 Former Names of Entity
7 Name of Audit Firm (Name, UEN)

*Please note that the number of records may vary from month to month, depending on the filings provided by the business entities.

Data sharing for Public Use

Data users such as researchers and application developers keen to glean useful insights on the local business landscape or develop applications to improve business productivity can access ACRA's business information data through data download or through API calls. Details are available at the Developer's portal at data.gov.sg.
